History
The Madison Garden Club was founded in 1955 with Judy (Thompson) Rummel serving as the first president of the club along with founding members Louise Brotzman, Verna Crozier, Geraldine Rhoads and Edna (Bell) Winland.
In the 1990s, the club decided they needed a logo with an image that was universal and would represent the goals of the club. The idea of using a tree to represent friendship, growth and the work of the club was ultimately decided upon. Krysse Posavad, a member then and today, was tasked with designing the tree logo which has been used to represent the club since that time.
The 2025 board decided to update the logo to recognize our 70th year of work and dedication to the community by adding a circular banner and the words "Established 1955" to the logo.
The Madison Garden Club is affiliated with National Garden Clubs, Inc., Central Atlantic Region of NGC, Inc., Garden Club of Ohio, Inc., Cleveland District, GDO, Inc., and Garden Clubs of the Western Reserve.
